Magento is one of the most popular ecommerce platforms available today.<\/p>\n

Many developer like to build websites, templates and applications on localhost. In this case, we are using WAMP as a server in WINDOWS OS.<\/p>\n

Magento requires itself to be installed on a host name at least one period ‘.’ in it, therefore installing to http:\/\/localhost or http:\/\/localhost.magento doesn’t work<\/p>\n

There is a way to fix that.
\nGo to<\/p>\n

C:\/Windows\/System32\/drivers\/etc\/<\/pre>\n
Open a file name host in notepad<\/p>\n
Add the following line to host<\/p>\n
