The .xml file also does not recognize the writer in the file, looks like this<\/p>\n

1. Import author: ()
\nor create new user with login name:
\nor assign posts to an existing user:<\/p>\n

I FINALLY got the data to import thanks to this post in wordpress.org forum<\/a>.<\/p>\n

1)<\/strong> Download and Install 7zip<\/a>.
\n2)<\/strong>\u00a0Open a directory in your computer where you saved the XML file. Right click on the .XML file -> 7zip -> Add to Archive
\n3)<\/strong> Change the “Archive format” to gzip<\/strong> and hit “OK”. You’ll now see your file with a .gz extension
\n4)<\/strong> Try to import\/upload the file again (selecting the .gz you just created)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
