It’s easy to add Google Analytics to Tumblr .

1. Login to tumblr.
2. Click Preferences in Account menu theme.
3. Click Customize Your Blog on Preferences page.
4. Click Theme will pop up Themes Selection page.
5.  Click Custom HTML
6.  Add the Google Analytics code before closing body tag ()

Remember, Google Snalytics code will be lost when you change theme
